And one last thing
Another difference is that generally speaking life is a lot more tragic now. Bad shit just happens more often. So not only are we less optimistic, but there is less to be optimistic about. I guess we have to battle pessimism?

life is not so much tragic as it is a battle of wills. i'm discovering it more as i deal with not having a home and then having to make one. having the girl, losing her, and moving on. dealing with my own life and not accepting it, but willing to make that move, take that chance, and learn from it.
it's been a rough year, tj and e, but i've learned a lot from you guys and from myself. it's never gonna come out roses but what's the point if you don't try.
and of course, fuck this.
